Blog Entry 12

At the beginning of spring semester I was ready to start the classes strong including this course of Reel Food & World Cinema because I  wanted to gain experience in different departments on McDaniel requirements for the McDaniel plans. When the first week of classes were adapting into a new environment. In this course, I was unprepared to attend this class because it isn’t my “comfort zone”, but I know only the basics of film and the structure, but not the whole concept of Cinema. When the first week was finished, I had a drive to start this course strong to write the first blog entry. It will continue my ability to submit  the blog entries on time. Yet, I hit  a wall to stop me from continuing the blog effectively. It was during the middle of the semester where midterm was coming up soon. How does Big Night and Dinner Rush are similar and different? They are both food movies because they are serving food to people at their restaurants. Also, They are both serving Italian food dishes at the tables. The difference between both movies is the time of each movie because in Big Night is in the 1950s serving a traditional Italian dish in Jersey Shore. Dinner Rush is a modern time and they are serving non-traditional Italian food in Manhattan. The main similarities and differences are how food is prepared, served, and eaten in both movies?    How do both movies prepare their food? In Big Night,  they are two characters who are running the restaurant, they are Primo and Secondo. Both brothers left their homes to reach their dreams by opening an Italian restaurant during the 1950s. The brothers have different personalities and traditionally run their restaurant, therefore they have a conflict with each other. Their personality for Primo is the oldest brother and...
